Indaily Summer Edition

You are invited to submit for publication in the new creative writing section of Flinders Indaily.

The Flinders Indaily Summer Edition earlier this year, featuring the best of Speakeasy’s prose and poetry, was such an enormous success that Speakeasy has now earned a permanent and glossy fortnightly spot!

Our regular fortnightly spot will showcase the best of Flinders creative writers to a wide and discerning readership. Flinders Indaily is distributed daily by email to around 10,500 Flinders alumni and members of a range of organisations (eg State Theatre Company, SA Museum, Fleurieu Art Prize, IPAA, Brighton Jetty Classic) sponsored by Flinders.

We are so excited to offer you this wonderful publication opportunity.

Please see the submission guidelines below. All submissions will be acknowledged.

Submission Guidelines
Send us your best work (prose and/or poetry).
Prose - 1500 words max (can be an excerpt from a larger piece).
Poetry - no more than three poems.
Formatting - Use Times New Roman or Ariel, 12pt font, and double-space your document.
Remember to put your name, and email address in the header of your document, and include a brief fifty-word bio at the end of your document.

Please email your work in a word document with the heading ‘SUB-Flinders Indaily’ to speakeasyflinders@gmail.com

It's nearly time for our end of year Speakeasy event.
We love stories, poetry and the spoken word, and so do you! So send us an email at speakeasy.flinders@gmail.com to secure your 5 minute place.
At Speakeasy, we want to give you the opportunity to share your work with a room full of supportive creative writers, just like yourself. Join us for drinks, snacks, prizes and, of course, an afternoon full of adventure, horror, laughs, tears and everything in between! We hope to see you there.

Indaily

Speakeasy is now in Indaily! Every fortnight one of our talented Speakeasy writers will have their creative work published in the new Flinders section of Indaily. This week's feature is Home by Piri Eddy, a warm and light-hearted story about the fear of flying—not so much of falling out of the sky, but of what’s awaiting you when you land. Check it out, and show your support for Speakeasy and Flinders creative writing by sharing it with your friends!
